When I read the book extract I thought this was going to be really good and thought it was about a detective working and hiding the early onset dementia as long as she could, made me more interested because my late husband had it.
The story didn’t go the way that I thought it would though, she had been working as a detective with a partner but the partner had gone missing. She had a notebook and that has all her notes written in it about the case but she had been found hurt and buried by snow, a young boy found her but was scared to stick around as he was wearing his sisters gold sequin dress,high heels and makeup and in the small village he lived in he knew that would not go down well. He finds the notebook and is determined to solve the case himself.
The last few chapters I really enjoyed.
