I was not sure what to expect from this book, but boy, a great atmospheric thriller is what I read. The author Camilla Grebe has created real characters that speak to you. The story is based in in a small Swedish town called Ormberg, where ten years earlier a five year old girls remains were found. No one ever claimed her and the case was never solved. Psychological profiler Hanne and her partner Peter are asked to go to Ormberg to investigate this cold case. But Hanne has the onset of dementia and has to keep a diary so that can remember everything that she is likely to forget. Then Hanne is found wandering in the woods hurt and confused and her partner Peter is missing.
This book was hard to put down and i would fully recommend the read.
