A book about what happens after Alexander the Great dies without naming a successor. Good history, but a little too descriptive for me.
There are many potential successors, each is unique, the dialogue wasnt too exciting but the conditions are described well and believably.
There is a battle with the one eyed General, a good character with a bit of bloodlust, the battle is ok but there is an error, the archers all fire up in the air in great arcs to rain arrows, this only happened in Hollywood so the feeling of credibility ebbs away.
If i had the time to read this then it might grow on me, but i think a book about what is known about this period would be better as the writing in this extract is not my cup of mint tea.
