I have enjoyed the Vespasian series from this author (well the 2 i won through this ste anyway which happened to be the last 2 in the series), so was pleased to see this author appear again but with the first in a series this time.
On reading the extract i was happy to experience the same storytelling style i enjoyed so much with Vespasian which flows easily and has plenty of action throughout. Even though the beginning of this will be mostly everyone setting out their camps we are treated to an early battle to whet our appetite for what is sure to come.
I am unfamiliar with what happened in this period after Alexander's death, so i am definitely intrigued enough to want to read more to see who is succesful (or not) in their bid to succeed him in ruling the empire.
