I dont tend to read historical novels but the beginning of this book held my attention. There were lots of characters introduced in the first few pages and I have a feeling I will keep needing to refer back to their introductory paragraphs in order to understand the history.
However the characters are interesting and the battles to come are sure to be descriptive if the first chapters are anything to go by
