I thought the cover design was pretty eye catching, and it stirs up ideas of epic conquest and battles akin to Lord if the Rings and Game of Thrones. As a historical novel I'm afraid this particular line of subject matter is just not my bag. Together with the writing style which for me, feels quite heavy going it's not one I'll be reading.
