If you like historical novels then this is for you. The year is 323 BC and Alexander the great has just died without nominating his successor. But without a natrual leader who will rule the kingdoms and lead his armies. What follows is a tangled web of scheming and plotting. Alliances are made and quickly broken with each rival having his own agenda to rule. The story goes at a good pace and the author Robert Fabbri give good descriptions and gory details of the battles fought.
My difficulty with the book was the number and long names of the central characters. Infact at the back of the book is two pages dedicated to list them and their interactions/relationships. I just found this hard and link them into the story
