I received this book quite a while ago and it’s taken until now to actually finish it as I’ve so many times thrown it on my DFN pile.
The blurb makes the theme of the story sound enticing, I was expecting a GOT-sequel story but as I delved in I found it slow and laborious to continue, after many tries over a year in fact, I powered through (finally) and felt the story as a whole was disjointed, it was difficult percepting the jumps in time and location. There was so many characters to remember I had to keep going back in the book rereading paragraphs just to refresh my memory and understand which character/time the author was referring to. With some revision, and editing including maybe a reduction in characters or even a glossary at back I’m sure the story itself would be more enjoyable to read but the current copy I received did not feel like the ‘finished product’ so to speak.
