I found this book frankly too challenging for me to read. I tried and got as far as the first few chapters and really had to give up after that. This is not like me as I really don't like giving up on books and normally try to finish them. I had read the preview and blurb and liked the idea of a historic thriller, but maybe it's because it's set in Babylon in 323 BC that I just couldn't get into it. It's lots of confusing Roman names, with the writer trying to explain who they all were very early on that I just didn't like it. I'm sure if you are a history buff and have an eye for this type of book you will enjoy it. If, however, you just want a thriller which is more modern I would suggest this book isn't for you.
