Different but enjoyable
This is the first book by Robert Fabbri and is different from the historical novels I normally read.
I found the story well written and with lots of action.
I did find it a bit confusing with all the characters especially as some had similar names whoever the more I read I found i was just enjoying the story!
The book starts with Alexander the great dying without naming a heir. It continues with all the battles and schemes that follow as various people aim for taking over the throne and his empire. There are quite a few interesting peopleand they are described really well. Some are a bit more likeable than others but all ruthless which makes it an unusual story to read.
I did not know much about this historical time before and really enjoyed the story.
