Alexander's Legacy is a very complex book, enjoyable yes but I found my head spinning at some points trying remember how all the characters interlinked (some of the names are very similar) The novel starts at the deathbed of Alexander surround by a cast of many all eager to know whom he will choose as his successor. When he doesn't do that the scramble for power begins, those once enemies become friends and vice versa, plots are formed, powerful characters both male and female weave together this story of politics and power. Despite finding it heavy weather i did find that the organisation of chapters as individual characters was helpful. No doubting the genius of the author in this genre, extremely believable plot.
