Firstly I should start off by saying that I love historical fiction. It doesn't matter what time period or if it's completely historically accurate, I love reading about times past. And this book certainly did not disappoint!
The language and writing used in the book is easy to understand, with the only complex part being the elaborate and often similar names of the characters involved. I also hugely appreciated the chapters being short, as that makes it so much easier to tell myself "just one more chapter!" every night and then proceed to read six.
Unfortunately not many people I know are as in love with historical fiction as me but if you like this genre this is practically a must-read book for you! With the constant battles and storylines of betrayal involved, there's never a dull or boring moment. Each page brings with it something new and exciting to read about!
