After reading the first look, I was intrigued to read the book and was pleased when I won a copy. However, I found it difficult to read and it did not hold my interest. The storyline seemed good. Various characters battling to win the crown. However, I found it hard to escape into the story. I picked the book up at various times and then eventually deiced to give up. I do not give up on books easily but felt that perhaps this was just not the book for me. If a book does not grip me from the first few chapters, then I find I probably will not read to the end. I loved the title and the book cover and feel it is a good story. Perhaps the setting put me off? Others will like it, and hopefully enjoy it.
