This book was not really the genre i would normally go for but it is well-written and very well researched as it give a great lot of detail and knowledge.
I found it a bit of a hard read but had a strong story line to carry it through, a bit of a historically accurate game of thrones saga.
It is the story of the battle to succeed Alexander the Great, which i do not have a great knowledge of but it gave a good insight to this and helped me understand.
There are lots of battle scenes and plenty of graphic detail about the battles and dealing with enemies, which was a bit off putting in general. I like that it is historically accurate and gives great details.
