I do enjoy historical fiction every now and again but this was such a disappointment. I don't know whether it was the plot, the characters or the writing style. Probably a combination of the three. This book is regrettably very forgettable. I struggled to complete it and I wouldn't be able to tell you what the plot is about... It is a shame as the book is stunningly made and the cover is very aesthetically pleasing but it is not enough to give this book a higher rating. I feel I've wasted quite a chunk of my few days trying to push through it and read it. It was a struggle and in this day and age it is a waste of precious time to read a book you aren't enjoying. Sorry! But it is a nope frm me.
