Would appeal to lovers of ancient history
This book wasn’t my usual genre and I hadn’t read anything by this author before so I started reading it with an open mind. The book explores what happened after the death of Alexandra the great which is something I didn’t know much about before picking up this novel but it taught me how difficult those times must have been for the armies and the people living in that era and also highlighted the political and complex issues that were faced by those during that time.
The book is cleverly written and each character is given its own narration and no one is left out everyone has a part to play and their place in the story. I could imagine this book being turned into a series similar in style to something like game of thrones
