Hmmmmm - unsure is an understatement

So the synopsis sounds fairly interesting and from that and the first few chapters, I can tell that things aren't going to be as simple as "go to Mars, make babies, colonise". I'm really quite curious as to what WILL happen up there in the abyss and I'm sure I won't be expecting it, whatever it is. 😆
However, I'm not thrilled with the writing style. Something about it seems fairly, I don't know, much - like the author is trying too hard to tell us everything. On the other hand, it's not too much of a problem that I wouldn't read the rest of the book.
One little pet peeve: the characters' names. President Green, Jimmy Giant, Stella Magnifica, etc. Not really a huge negative because it makes me giggle, but still vaguely irritating. *shrug* 🤔
The cover is quite cool though. Very Sci-Fi! 😂
