I have to say, 'Ascension' is not the kind of novel I'd usually go for, as it initially sounded like some kind of trash reality television set against a backdrop of sci-fi. However, I have to admit that it's actually pretty addictive. It's engaging from the start and the heroine has a very fun narrative voice, which I love. I am definitely looking forward to seeing how this one turns out!
