This was absolutely brilliant. From the cover to the blurb to story, this was just brilliant. I loved Léonor as a character and felt like she was really relatable. I liked how this had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and kept me hooked. It did take me quite a while to get into the story but once I did, I loved how much dramatic irony there was because certain things were revealed to us early on and it was interesting to see the characters work it all out. This is something I don't tend to like because it feels boring but I was so connected to Léonor and all the other 'minor' characters, like Andrew, that I was anxious to see them figure it out.

The 'villain' was one that I loved to hate and honestly they felt like a better version than Jeannine from the Divergent trilogy because where I found Jeannine to be annoying...this character was very interesting and I'm also interested to see where the story goes.

That cliffhanger has left me desperate for more and I can't wait to see where the story goes from here. I loved the ending of this!! I would recommend this but I can see why some people may not like this because not much action happens in this and it's quite slow paced that way but personally I really enjoyed this because I felt like the world and the characters were really developed in this and the whole stage for the story has been set up. I loved the drawings and tables that we got in this and hope we get more in the sequel because I feel like they added a lot to how I imagined the Cupido. I also really liked the romance which didn't feel very insta-lovey.

This is proof of why there should be more translated books in English from other languages because I am so glad that I read this and this is one of the best books I've read so far this year. 100000% recommend and I cannot wait to read the next one!
