I picked up Ascension because the premise interested me. Who doesn't love a silly teen romance, and in space too. It sounded fun, and it was! The book was quite a page turner and had me interested in what was going to happen next. Very engaging and just an enjoyable, easy read.
However, not sure if the translation was to blame or what because much of the writing style left a lot to be desired.
Also, not sure what was up about the 'Ultra-Liberal' government, but I don't think that liberal means what the author thinks it means. It was just a very weird lack of attention to detail that made the book just a tad bit less enjoyable for me.
Overall, a fun, quick read! Would love to get to read the second book!
