I love the front cover of Ashes, with a suitcase, that I think must play a part in this story. Also reading the outline of Ashes, I'm quite sure that the author Christopher de Vink, must have put a lot of research into writing this story, as its a story of two women during Hilter's Nazi occupation of Belguim and France. Ashes has been inspired by true events. The story flicks between Belguim July 1939 and Spring of 1940 Nazi plane begins bombing Brussels. I believe this book will be very educational.
