I was thrilled to be delving into a historically based novel this week, especially due to history being such an interesting subject to me. I was specifically fascinating to be reading about a period of history that I am familiar with, but one that has so many different stories despite many suffering the same tragedies.
De Vinck managed to pique my imagination, with an awe-inspiring writing style, which I’m sure has succeeded with the imaginations of many others. Can't wait to read the rest of the book!
