I wouldn’t generally read a book about past war however being based on a true story I was keen to read the first few chapters. The first few chapters really set the scene with descriptive text that was easily to understand given the fact this was set in presidential times. I found reading from a third persons point of view really drew me in to the story and allowed me to understand and feel what events were really like then. I didn’t learn much about the relationship between the girls in the few chapters which makes me believe this book has a lot more To give the reader.
