As someone with a PhD in history, and an interest in Nazi Germany, I was instantly drawn to this book. Anything set during the war (or any historical context really) is of interest to me.
This is a perfectly written work, with fascinating quotes from history at the beginning of each chapter. Suggests the author has done their research and has endeavoured to reflect a historical reality, recalling the horrors of World War 2 whilst watching a strong friendship develop.
Sounds like a fantastic read and I would love to delve deeper into the lives of these two friends!
