What a thoughtfully insightful look into WW2 and the impact it has on innocent children.

I was upset to learn that a Jewish girl was best friends with a nazi soldiers daughter.

The girls get separated by a war that has nothing to do with them, one girl is stuck in a nazi soldiers family, with their ideological beliefs. She knows only of what her family tells her. Despite the fact that the girls are on opposite sides of the war, they build an unbreakable bond together.

This story captivated me from the outset and throughout with its tale of friendship, love and separation.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.
