This isn't a book I'd read by choice to be honest. I've read lots of books set in the period, and it's an important subject to cover but this doesn't seem to be anything like a new voice or perspective.
I'm sure it will find a readership but for me it's adding nothing new to the conversation, and isn't compelling me to read on beyond the first impression.
