Initially, I felt the story was a little jumbled but as I went on it got better. The descriptive passages bring out the truly harrowing times at the beginning of the Second World War on the European continent.
Although I felt it was getting better I am not sure if it would be the type of book for me but for a short excerpt it would be too early to tell and I would look to borrow this book from a library to read it further before I finally decide if it would become a good read.
