Sitting reading the first part of this book made me think of how people’s lives were then. The emotional challenges they faced and how they came through times like this. This doesn’t disappoint as you see the decisions they take and how the story unfolds made me definitely want to read more as the years go by so the story unfolds making the reader feel as if they were there. As these two friends tell their story each in a different way you see the decisions and times they had to face I like the way the story went and the different chapters told the story in a credible way.the friendships were strong as so were the characters without telling too much. The conclusion I would think will be riveting and surprising.
