loved it
I absolutely loved this book! The writing style and story sucks you in from the first chapter - I just could not put it down. I really enjoyed little facts from history in the begging of every chapter - it was instantly creating a mood and you can get ready for what was coming for you.
Ashes is a heart wrenching story about two best friends - Belgian and polish jew - and their horrible position during the second world war.
I admire Simone's dedication to Hava, I loved that she loved Hava for who she really was and never cared for comments from others - especially the ones close to her.
Hava to me was like a gust of fresh air - so spontaneous, honest and warm - there was nothing that she would be ashamed of.
I would highly recommend this book to everyone - please do not forget some tissues!
