Wow, this book is lovely it just shows that even in the war time and the horrendous things that happened friendship still prevailed and despite the youngsters different backgrounds there was no prejudice and friendship won over it all. L I ed hi ow this story was from the youngsters view point. It read with so much description that I felt that I was her and going through her life with her and felt every upset, happiness, all emotion with her.
It was nice to read how even back then despite Hitlers rules prejudice was not always present with people and helping others in need was more important. Glad to see how Simone continued to live a happy life and her daughter carrying in her best friends name
