I liked the front cover, it looked elegant and would prompt me to pick up the book in a bookshop. But I didn't really enjoy the story. In the first chapter I struggled to find any empathy for the characters, male students who spend their time rigging up smurf guns and used to blue-tack pictures of womens' breasts to the wall. The description of student house which smells rotten and is invaded by slugs is depressing. In the next two chapters it becomes clear that the plot is to be about medical emergencies. I've experienced too many of those in real life and would not read fictional accounts of them for pleasure.
