Really enjoyed this book, takes me a while to read one, but with this I read it in a week and that's a record for me!
The author kept me entertained, it was like an emotional roller coaster ride. Laughing out loud at Scott's mums dates, crying inside at the sadness of the inevitable. The relationship between Scott and his mum Josie was one of both friend and mother and son. You could see how frustrated they both got with each other at times, and then right at the last minute she was there for him, letting him go. Having a child of my own, I can't even begin to imagine how hard it must have been, knowing that there is a time limit on your child's life. Crazy!
It was lovely to see that even though Scott knew he wouldn't be around for long, even though he knew connecting with someone was probably not ideal, he let himself fall in love, and experience "heart ache". He didn't let fate step in the way.
A great read!
