I’ve just finished reading this book and whilst it wasn’t my favorite, it’s certainly a heart-wrenching read and a box of tissues needs to be nearby! The characters of Scott, Emily and Josie are all like able and immediately you feel drawn to the family that have been through so much. The whole story is beautifully told and it’s weird knowing how a story is going to end but you still want to read on and find out exactly what happens. It did remind me of Jojo Moyes at times and was quite similar in the writing style. I know Madeleine Reiss has written other books so I may look into those if they tell a similar emotional story like this one.
