This was a heartwarming read. I loved the concept of this book and thought it was interesting to read a story that is primarily about the relationship between a single mother and her son. It is not often you find a book centered around such a relationship. The bond between them both was lovely and the struggle around Josie not wanting to let her son go but also feeling so pleased that he had grown into a young man that was able to spread his wings was lovely. It was also good to see it from Scott's point of view with regards to him growing up and exploring the world away from his mum. As you can well imagine the ending is sad although I felt it was written very sensitively and ultimately left my heart feeling warm as opposed to in floods of tears. If you are looking for fiction with a heart then you may want to give this book a lot. I am not sure it will stay with me but I enjoyed the read nevertheless.
