I really enjoyed this book, having started dating again myself in my 40's after years of marriage, I could really relate to parts of it.
I enjoyed the snippets from the potential dates at the top of the chapters, really humorous and in my experience quite true to real life.
I found the novel both funny and poignant but also relevant. There has been a lot in the press recently about the state of our oceans and the impact on the creatures who live in them, so Scott's passion for saving the dolphins really highlights these issues. Scott is a breathe of fresh air, funny, generous, socially conscious despite his own medical issues, he treats everybody with respect and empathy.
