What an absolutely lovely story
Thank you readers first for a chance to read this book before publication!
It reminded me of me before you by Jojo Moyes. Though that’s not to say it’s a rip off of that book because it’s very storyline is very different.
Lone parent Josie has devoted her life to her son Scott. Very poorly as a child, Scott received the gift of a new heart and is now thriving at university when he gets the news that his gifted heart is failing. As Scott processes this news and try’s to keep it a secret from his amazing Mum and friends new and old he decides to embark on a mission: to find love for his Mum so she isn’t alone when the time comes.
I loved the way the book was written, going between Josie and Scott’s present and Josies memories of Scott’s childhood and the hilarious responses to Scott’s viral video to find a partner for his dear Mum. It was sad yet uplifting and evokes a range of emotions from page to page. I hope this book does really well as it’s lovely!
