Whilst this isn't my usual sort of book, I really enjoyed reading the first few chapters. Despite knowing what's to come from the blurb, I still felt shocked at the murder of the parents, which is only a hint of how shocking the rest of the book could be. This seems like a Western style book set in Australia which seems interesting! I'm not a massive fan of the cover though, and I wouldn't pick the book up purely based on the cover.
