So the cover looks a little barren. Two cowboys on horses and not much else. The colours set the scene for a hot, dusty tale for these two. The blurb leaves me with lots of questions. Why were the patents killed ? Why was the brother badly injured but the main character is untouched ? Why is the land so desirable that someone is willing to kill for it ?
