Okay, i don't always read Adventure stories but when i do, that's what i usually like to see.
This novel shows us many different points of view so we get a well rounded account of all the events as they occur. We see Toby and Paddy's, a family arriving by boat to make their fortune in the gold mines, and the businessman's, just to name a few.
This, i believe helped the story a lot and while it could technically bring you out of the story if you aren't into war scenes, it made the experience better for me 😁
