To be fair I read this as my sister recommended it.
I had never read a western before and it wasn't my usual kind of genre or read at all so for me It was just a purely personal taste reason why I didn't connect with this book very well.
But saying that I could see it was a good story and well written and would definitely appeal to fans of this style of writing and subject matter.
It was a story of revenge after two boys parents are murdered by Bush rangers and they lose their home and livelihood when tricked out of their homestead by a local conman.
Trying their hands at gold prospecting Toby and Paddy try to carve a new life for themselves but Toby cannot let go of the past and all that happened and ultimately wants to track down the perpetrators of their misfortune.
