I found this book hard to get into and a little slow but once I got past a certain point it was an enjoyable read. Very easy characters to get to know too. The front cover is interesting and does catch your attention however I think it could do with a better front cover to draw more people's interest.
I found there was also a lot of description on areas that didn't really need it. Easy enough story line to follow. The characters are well created and you feel like you know them by the end of the story and is a shame to say bye to them. Good story line too. Good concept for a novel, especially the time period.
Overall I liked the book but don't think I'd rush out to get another one by the same author. Good first try.
