First off I have read all of the Robin Hood books that Angus as written and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. So I was a little hesitant in his latest book since its set a few hundred years after the Robin Hood chronicles.

But scepticism was laid to rest after reading the first few pages there's subtle humour and good old fashioned sword fight. The characters are well crafted and king Charles comes over well as a spoiled brat.

I'm looking forward to some winter reading when the book is realised, the cover is eye catching with the gold and red writing and the two crossed pistols on the cover should make it stand out on the shelf.
