Well I can safely say I never liked this type of book but I was totally surprised when I actually fell in love with this book. The book is set in London 1670 where holcroft blood got employed by the Duke of Buckingham.
Holcroft as it turns out is highly accomplished when it comes to numbers which makes him valuable to the Duke meanwhile holcroft father comes in to play in a plot to steal the crown jewels
The story is a thriller for sure it had me not able to put it down the story pulls you in from start to finish it's definitely a series I will be keeping an eye out for in the future I've actually purchased one of Angus Donald's other series called the outlaws and can't wait to get stuck into it definitely an author you should invest in
