The cover is brilliantly simplistic - the surgical equipment paired with the blood and the flowers gives the whole book a calm yet eerie vibe which I love.
The main character is both entirely relatable and completely foreign at the same which is fantastic - she's a normal girl who's smart and rebellious and happens to hear dead people.
The representation in this book is phenomenal given that we've only read four chapters: we've seen immigrants and main female leads, the main character is queer (bi/pan/omni), homeless people are properly shown and not demonised and it highlights the privilege that rich men get.
All in all, I would love to read more and can't wait to see what happens.
