Cassie comes across as a very caring person. The fact she feels the dead talk to her briefly is a bit creepy. The author has drawn out her and the other characters very well. Cassie always wants to know how and why someone died, particularly when that person is someone she knew. An exciting first read and an intriguing mystery to be solved.
