Cassie is a great, yet unusual, character and I loved her from the first page. The skill of any writer is how far and how quickly they can draw the reader into the story and this one had me hooked from the start.
The description of the post mortem was vivid and realistic but not gory, a fine balancing act. The details of the individuals meant I could see them in my mind, just as Cassie can hear her characters...now I want to know more about Mrs E and the rest of Cassie's story.
