This book is easy to read and flows quite well, as long as you aren’t squeamish!
Cassie is a mortuary technician and has an affinity with the bodies, talking to them and believing they talk back to her, often helping her identify the cause of death. I couldn’t get into this part of the story at all and it felt a bit naff to me.
I wasn’t sure about Cassie’s character, she seems to be very try hard in her attempts to be different and a bit of a know it all. Maybe I would warm to her if I read more of the book.
I think I would read more of the book to see how the characters developed.
