Judging by the cover, I was not expecting to be drawn in. However, the story seems to flow so naturally that I could not help but be taken in by Cassie's gift to be able to draw on the last thoughts of the dead especially when concluding Mrs Connery's death. She uses her gift of communication wisely and this makes the story all the more interesting. Gave a good insight into the world of Mortuary and how bodies are processed post mortem.
