So? Where do I start? The cover is enticing and lovely on the eye. It would most definitely catch my attention on any shelf. This book so far is absolutely fascinating and unlike anything I’ve read in a very long time.
I immediately fell in love with Cassie. Considering the sensitive nature of the storyline itself, to discover a character like Cassie, who obviously loves her job, is fully committed to it, and then we have the introduction to the mysterious voices that she hears from her “patients”, this is a complete joy for any mystery fans and an exciting and enticing one at that.
I love how she puts the uppity and condescending Mr Cuff in his place immediately which shows us the inner strength and confidence that Cassie has and knows she is certainly no “minion”.
The writing style of this author flows incredibly easy and it’s silky tone has me flying through the lines desperate to read more and find out where this wonderful storyline is taking me.
I am already in love with this book and the thought of being able to read it in full excites me unlike any book has done in a long time.
But for now I will just have to wait. Very frustratingly! The sample itself gets 5/5 stars from me.
