Cassie works at the local mortuary and at times can hear the dead speak. They help her to figure out why they died but then someone she knows is brought in. The death appears to be a tragic accident but Cassie isn't sure. Can she find out the truth?
This was such a fascinating read. The mystery of the murder coupled with Cassie's abilities makes for interesting reading. The plot is steadily paced and builds to a dramatic and clever finish. I had worked out part of the mystery but the extra twist towards the end was a brilliant idea. I love when a thriller catches me out. Cassie is instantly likeable and she's a brilliant lead. Flyte takes a bit of liking but as her story develops, you begin to understand why she's the way she is. I like the dynamic between them. The ending was well done and tied the story off yet left me wanting more Cassie and to learn more about her parents death. A great story.
